Mr. Hosey is a founding partner of Hosey & Bahrambeygui LLP and has been advocating for his clients for over years. Mr. Hosey has represented clients in a wide range of litigation and trial matters, varying from wrongful death to multi-million dollar business disputes. As a result of his vigorous advocacy, Mr. Hosey has received awards and recognition for his extraordinary trial verdicts as well as published appellate opinions on cutting edge legal issues. Mr. Hosey has been recognized and been awarded Outstanding Trial Lawyer by Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and has also been recognized in San Diego Super Lawyers in 2008 and 2009. Many of his cases and legal accomplishments have been reported in national newspapers, trade journals, and featured on television shows such as 20/20 and Dateline.
After working for a large firm for five years, Mr. Hosey began a solo practice in 1996. In 1999, he merged practices with Sherry Bahrambeygui. The firm emphasizes personal injury, employment litigation and consultation, health law and business litigation. Mr. Hosey has assembled an exceptionally talented staff who work on a select number of cases allowing for a comprehensive, personalized, and proactive approach to each.
Mr. Hosey is a frequent lecturer at continuing education programs, law schools, professional associations, and has led several committees and organizations throughout San Diego’s legal community. Mr. Hosey is active at the governing levels of the San Diego County Bar Association, currently serving as its President. Mr. Hosey has served in multiple roles since 2006 on the Board of Directors as Vice President, Treasurer and Director and is actively involved on the Ethics Committee. He was elected by his peers to lead the 10,000 member organization as President from 2009-2010.
Mr. Hosey has also served as a Director of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego from 2004 to 2006. He is an active member of the American Trial Lawyers’ Association, the American Business Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and Consumer Attorneys of California. Mr. Hosey has been appointed a Master in the Enright Inn of Courts and has been a team leader and Instructor for over 13 years with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. In 2004, Mr. Hosey was one of 5 attorneys from the U.S. asked to teach trial skills to practicing solicitors in Dublin, Ireland through the international arm of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at his alma mater, California Western School of Law.
Mr. Hosey received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Economics from Syracuse University. Thereafter he was a member of United States National Crew Team from May 1985 to July 1988. He is married to Sherry Bahrambeygui and together they have twin boys.
